I was impressed how quickly I received the new shaft. I have been playing with it now for a couple weeks and definitely like it. It is 1 inch longer than my previous one so it took me a little time to get used to it with my back hand.
LOVES
The extra inch is great, even when you're only 5'8". It's about damned time shaft makers did this at scale.
The extra long slim end of the pro taper is also
wonderful. It promotes smooth strokes.
HATES
The shaft arrived with 2 surface blemishes near the tip. They are easy to feel. I'm not as sensitive as most, and I can sand them off, But I Expected better QC for the price.
The adapter is a great idea, but it has a tendency to come loose. So the fact that they don't include a T20 tool at this price is or even put thread locker on the retainer is a disappointment.
What's worse is that even when, tightened the adapter on mine rattles. ANNOYING ! I wish they'd done more iterations of that.
The shaft hits great with very little deflection. It also fits my old Joss cue perfectly and looks pretty good on the stick, too. I have hit with other carbon fiber shafts in the past, but, for me, this one is far superior. Definitely worth the price.
